This product came to our house on 12/27/2006. As we opened this product and I and my wife just setting on the table to check the product out. My Son who is three years old came running, he pushed the top cover (lid) part and some how his fingers got trapped when the lid closed. My Sons fingers are bruised but many many thanks to God that his fingers are not cut off.
I think this product should not be sold as it is, it should be re-designed so that the lid should have a latch.
Amazon, please stop selling this product.
People, dont buy this product if you have small children.

I haven’t bought this yet, but ONLY because I cannot find out the difference between this one which is red and the GRP90WGP G5 which is the platinum finish. Upon checking the copy on both models which appear here a couple of times, there seems to be a difference in size and color, but outside of that I don’t know if there is anything more. Seems both models have plates that are removable and dishwasher safe. I wonder if someone would come to my rescue to explain the differences so I can purchase it. I gave it 4 stars, cause that’s what I’m expecting based on all the fabulous reviews actually on both models. Just need to know if one is better than the other. Thanks so much.
